Kim began her dance training when she was four years old, continuing with local instructors until the age of twelve when she began to further her dance and gymnastics training at workshops, seminars and dance camps spanning from Bangor to Boston to New York City.

During her dance career she has won many awards throughout New England, including first place honors in the Dance Elite Nationals, Dance Olympus Northeast Finals and "Jazz Solo" and "Lyrical Solo" at NYC Jump Project. Her performance groups have won awards at Showstoppers Regional Finals for "Best Duet", and "Solo Lyrical" dances, while Kim was awarded "Most Original Choreography". | |

Kim has taught dance at the University of Maine at Presque Isle and has
done choreography for several of their theater projects. She has instructed for Project Explore, Upward Bound, the Gifted and Talented Program and has been a contributing coach for the Odyssey of the Mind program. Active in community theater for years, she has appeared in musicals including Fairie Tale Theater, Gypsy, Louder than Words, and Nunsense II.
Countless area pageants have called upon Kim for her skills in choreography and coaching.
